Summary of Induction Interview - Pawn 4

By: The King

Jens was born and raised into an extremely wealthy family, his grandparents were owners of a multi-national oil conglomerate from before the Resource Wars. When the Resource Wars ended, fusion power was invented and oil production became a thing of the past. His family business was sold off and they've since found fortune in investments and stock trading.

The only person Jens openly admits to caring about is his sister, Solveig. Their parents were what you might call socialites while the siblings grew up and were simply never home. Jens is not only brilliant but also is what you might call a unique mix of anti-social and narcissistic - as is his sister. I say this knowing Jens not only agrees with me but would happily repeat the sentiment to anyone who asks.

When Jens was 13 and Solveig 11, they were separated. Their mother found work in Toronto, Ontario, as an actress on a television show about "vapid socialites" (he said it, not me) and so as not to miss her family too much, she took Solveig with her and refused Jens. The show was cancelled a year later but their mother had already remarried and had no interest in returning to Norway.

Something he found out early in life was that Jens has a mind for machines. The bigger the better and so that meant boats, planes, and trucks. He couldn't stop until he figured out how it all worked and how to take apart and reassemble every piece. He thus spent his childhood buried in books and resources about the inner workings of large vehicles - a passion which confused the rest of his family but that didn't matter to Jens..

The day he turned 18, Jens packed a bag and headed for Toronto. His father even supported the decision but only because he had been accepted at the newly built Toronto University of Specialized Engineering - an extremely exclusive school for the gifted.

Jens wanted me to specifically mention here that Solveig was married two years later to a Canadian man he says is, "sort of a jackass." Jens has never been married but hopes to one day find that spec-nope, never mind, I can't even write that with a straight face. Jens has never been married and hopes to never be married.

He would be the first to tell you that he isn't known for his friendly personality, but I can tell you that Jens Skogan more than makes up for that with incredible technical proficiency and a natural understanding of the C-3800 aircraft. His father is a primary investor of Worldview Industries and has known Dr. David Schelter for many years. It is through this connection that Jens first came to my attention and on November 19th, 2042, he officially boarded Zenlil as Pawn 4.
