I'm not even sure if this message will reach anyone. Our reception has never been great, but it seems to be getting progressively worse. We've heard rumors that Wellington has been under Afflicted control for the past two weeks. As far as we can tell, they've completely sealed off all exit routes and there are no surviving non-Afflicted inside the city. We have confirmed with our sister-base in Sydney, Australia that they've suffered the same fate. I suspect that other major cities will soon fall as well, if they haven't already. This is no small accomplishment for the Afflicted and, if things continue in this vein, we have no hope. There is no way out for us, and people are starting to get panicky. I pray that we will not turn upon each other in desperation as though we, too, were Afflicted. But people do crazy things when they're placed under this kind of stress. God, I wish there was some way you could help us, but who are we kidding? I know the truth. I just thought you'd all like to know where we're headed.
